Effective date: August 24, 2026. Random Verse Now is an independently operated Scripture discovery website operated from Shanghai, China. No account is required, and the site does not provide a public contact form, comments, subscriptions, or advertising.

Information processed

Hosting and security infrastructure may process ordinary request data such as an IP address, browser or device information, requested URL, timestamp, and diagnostic or security events. This information is used to deliver and protect the site, investigate errors, and prevent abuse.

We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-8PN4T9GJXL) to understand how the site is found and used and to improve its content and performance. Google Analytics may process online identifiers, approximate location derived from an IP address, device and browser details, referring pages, and interactions such as pages viewed and session timing when analytics is active.

For visitors identified as being in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, analytics remains disabled until the visitor accepts analytics. For visitors outside those regions, analytics may load automatically unless the visitor has previously disabled it. Visitors can change their analytics preference using “Analytics settings” in the site footer.

We do not send email contents or intentionally send names, email addresses, or Scripture search text to Google Analytics. Google signals, advertising personalization, advertising storage, and ad user data are disabled in our analytics configuration.

Google acts as our analytics service provider and may process analytics information on servers outside your country, including in the United States. Google describes its processing and transfer safeguards in its Business Data Responsibility information. We configure Google Analytics event-level data retention to two months; aggregated reporting and information retained by Google for security, legal, or service-operation purposes may follow different periods under Google's terms.

If you email us, we receive the address and information you choose to include. Please do not send sensitive personal information. Support and correction correspondence is normally retained for no longer than 12 months after resolution, unless it is still needed to investigate abuse, preserve a correction record, comply with law, or establish or defend legal rights. Infrastructure records follow the hosting provider's configured retention and are kept only as long as reasonably necessary for security and operations.

Sharing and choices

Information is shared only with service providers needed to host, secure, measure, and operate the site, including Google when analytics is active, or when legally required. We do not sell personal information.

You can change your analytics preference at any time using “Analytics settings” in the footer. Disabling analytics stops future analytics collection from this site and attempts to remove this site's Google Analytics cookies from your browser. It does not delete information already processed. You may also delete or block cookies and browser storage through your browser settings.

To request access, a copy, correction, or deletion of information you sent directly, email hello@randomversenow.com. We may need information to verify and fulfill a request and may retain limited records where required for security, legal compliance, or documented editorial corrections. Depending on where you live, mandatory privacy rights available under applicable law remain available to you.

Children

The site offers general-audience Bible reading and is not directed specifically to children under 14. We do not knowingly collect children's personal information through accounts, forms, comments, or subscriptions. A parent or guardian who believes a child provided personal information may contact us to request deletion where applicable.

Changes

We may update this policy when our services, analytics implementation, or legal obligations change. We will revise the effective date and provide additional notice when required.
